James B. Coulter has experience as the victim in a personal injury case. Over a decade ago, he was the victim of a commercial truck accident in St. Augstine Florida that nearly took his life while at the time  he was working as a Florida state prosecutor for the 7th Judicial Circuit.   Mr. Coulter saw and experienced firsthand the greedy and deceptive practices of insurance companies when he was initially denied rightful compensation for his claim.   It took over two years of fighting his case before he finally was awarded just compensation for his injuries.   Mr. Coulter was second guessed by insurance adjusters, he was investigated, questioned, followed, and even video taped by nefarious individuals hired by the insurance defense firm attempted to downplay his injuries in the name of corporate profit.   Since that time, Mr. Coulter decided to dedicate the majority of his legal career to learning, understanding, and mastering the practice of personal injury law.

Today, he is an experienced personal injury lawyer based out of the Brevard County, Melbourne Florida, and practices law throughout the great state of Florida.  Mr Coulter has represented clients on a variety of cases ranging from simple auto accidents and dog bites to complex brain injury cases, wrongful death cases, trucking accidents, and catastrophic medical malpractice and nursing home neglect cases.  He has successfully collected millions on top of millions of Dollars for his clients and continues to be presented with numerous awards for his recent accolades such as; being recognized by the National Trial Lawyers Association as the Top 100 Trial Lawyers fo the years 2014, 2015, and 2017 respectively,  the 2017 10 Best- Florida Attorneys Client Satisfaction Award presented by the American Institutde of Personal Injury Attorenys, the 2016 Brevard County Public Schools Buisness Partner of the Year Award, the 2015 Client Satisfaction Award presented by American Institute of Criminal Attorenys.

Born in Washington DC, Mr. Coulter attended the University of Maryland and earned a bachelor's degree in Government and Politics from the University of Maryland in 2001.  In 2005, Mr. Coulter received his Juris Doctor from Florida Coastal School of Law after attending on a Dean Merit Scholarship.  While in law school, Mr. Coulter clerked for a personal injury / auto acident law firm in Jacksonvlle Florida, while also volunteering during his free time at Jacksonville Legal Aid where he assisted attorneys as a Certified Legal Intern and helped intigent women in court who were the unfortunate victims of domestic violece and also without the financial resources to afford help.   After graduating law school, Mr Coulter passed his bar exam and began his legal career as a state prosecutor.  He left the State Attorneys Office shortly after his auto accient and took his talents into private practice.   Mr. Coulter eventually opened his own law firm , The law Offices of James B Coulter, in Brevard County Florida, whre he still rpactices today and is dedicated to representing those who have been injured or lost the life of a loved one due to the fault of another.
